High-performance Teams Custom Workshop
Imagine you work in a large, successful software company, and it’s your job to break new ground in markets where you’re the newcomer. So the approaches that work well for most of company, aren’t really applicable to your part of the business. You are on the entrepreneurial side of things, with a different culture to create and maintain, playing your part in entering markets that ensure a rosy future for the company.
It’s almost half way through the financial year, the team have been working hard, and you want to provide a day that they will remember, and a spark to maintain the motivation to finish the year on a high. That’s where a team at Microsoft were when they contacted Reach Remarkable to design and facilitate an event using the excellent conference facilities at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium.
Manchester United provide a world class line up of speakers including Tony Strudwick, the head of sports science to give his view on high performance teams, Sir Alex Ferguson and Denis Law, interviewed by John Sheils, CEO of the Manchester United Foundation, on building teams and taking risks, and the club help by providing the Premier League cup, accompanied by Sir Bobby Charlton and Denis Irwin, and together with a tour of the stadium provide for a remarkable morning.
To top it off, let’s add a business entrepreneur to the mix, someone who is described as an environmental industrialist, used to taking risks in commercial business, with a foot in the IT camp as well as construction, luxury spas and several others – Dr Jan Telensky.
And finally, let’s use the things we’ve learned from these great speakers in the morning and see how it might inspire continued positive culture change and high performance in the team at Microsoft, using exercises designed specifically for the day.
Some remarkable speakers, and a great outcome.
